Brenda Canada, LPCC-S
-Counselor
Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisor credentials, located in Northwest Ohio. I graduated from Liberty University with a master’s degree in professional counseling. I have years of experience in community and office-based counseling, as well as in teletherapy. I’ve worked with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of presenting problems such as depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, anger, trauma, phase of life changes, relationship issues, family issues and many more. I enjoy providing individual, couples, and family counseling. I also work with couples dealing with infertility, miscarriage, and grief from the loss of a child.
My approach leans toward solution-focused therapy, as I believe that unless the stressful issues that we deal with every day are resolved, we cannot focus on our mental health, because we are going back into the same situations that cause the issues. I encourage my clients to find hope for the future, for without hope, we cannot continue. I’ve used a combination of supportive, cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, faith, and strengths-based approaches relevant to your needs. I believe that counseling is a collaborative experience, and I will work to help you identify your personal and mental health goals, while helping you utilize your strengths to live to your full potential.
I’m a very down-to-earth person who grew up in a large family, (seven boys, and two girls), on a farm in Northwest Ohio. I incorporate common sense ideas and humor to help my clients become the best they can be, so you can meet your personal mental health goals.

Kelly Harmon, LPCC
-Counselor
My name is Kelly Harmon (she/her) and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. I earned both my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kent State University.
Throughout my work as a counselor, I have seen that many of my clients live a life of expectations, many of which can be harmful to both their physical and mental health. A person’s worth is often measured by what they can accomplish whether it be in work, school, as a parent, friend, or member of one’s family. In my work with clients, I have sought to help them prioritize their overall health and wellbeing by separating out their needs from the expectations that are being put on them and causing them harm.
The approach I take in counseling is that of a guide walking with you rather than an expert directing you. I understand the importance of the therapeutic relationship and that your feeling comfortable working with me is the number one priority. I embrace all differences and am an ally to those in the LGBTQ, BIPOC, and neurodivergent communities.
I have experience working both in private practice, as well as community mental health facilities providing intensive home-based counseling. I have provided individual, family, and couples therapy. I incorporate a variety of methods into my work with clients including, but not limited to client-centered, CBT, mindfulness, polyvagal theory, family systems, and solution-focused therapies. I am certified in EMDR and have completed level 1 and 2 training in The Gottman Method for couples therapy.
